Over 20 years ago, I went through a personal transformation resulting in an intense desire to make art. The process fulfills and sustains me. Although I take part time jobs here and there, I spend the majority of my time working time in my home studio in Vancouver, WA. I fire my ceramics onsite, to cone 6, in my electric kiln. Everything I do, from jewelry holders, to every ceramic piece, has layers of color.
All of my work is original and hand built. I do not slip cast.
DRAWER PULLS:
Firing to cone 6 makes my drawer pulls more durable than similar ceramic pulls from big retailers or imported pulls. I also attach the backs with 2 part epoxy (not craft glue). I sell lots of mix and match pulls in person, but I have listed the ones here that I feel I can reliably make in multiples.
SCULPTURES AND VESSELS:
My sculptures and vessels are influenced by vintage patterns, industrial elements and symbols of the universal need for connection. I make animals that I feel drawn to, usually the misunderstood, independent or snarky ones. I use commercial underglazes, cone 6 glazes, pigments and washes.
PAINTED HANGERS AND JEWELRY STORAGE:
My wall hangers are made with repurposed wood panels and frames. I make my own stencils and use them in conjunction with my distressed, layered paint style. I use quality paint, primer and polyurethane finish.
WHERE TO FIND ME:
I sell my work here on Etsy, Vancouver Farmers Market, local art and street fairs, Gifty Kitty in Portland and Willamina Merchants.
In 2023, you can find me at Vancouver Farmers Market, Anacortes Art Fair, Local 14, Mississippi Street Fair, Hawthorne Street Fair, Art in the Burbs...

QUESTIONS I AM OFTEN ASKED:
"Do you make pulls that match the knobs" - I have previously done this but it is a difficult process and I can't make it cost effective to do it. SORRY!
"will you make a caricature of my cat, dog parakeet etc." - I am not currently taking commissions.
"why does it take so long to get my knob order?" - while I do have lots of knobs in stock, I usually don't have cohesive sets on hand. The turnaround process is about 2 weeks and involves construction, drying time, 2 fires, glazing, construction of the pieces and mailing....
"Why don't my knobs look exactly like the the picture?" - In a world of mass produced, watered down style, my handmade knobs are quirky and unique and that's what customers say they love about them. There are always unknown factors in the firing process that cannot be controlled. Its an aesthetic that not everyone likes, and that's ok.
If you aren't happy, I'll send you a return label and a refund upon receipt. All I ask is that you return the item in good condition and pay the return shipping. Just know you've received something personally made by me and I've sent you my best work.
